The PVS-14 must be used as a hand held unit when an IR illuminator is attached.
The unit employs a new control switch system allowing smoother brightness adjustment. It also features innovations such as dual-step control to prevent the laser from being accidentally turned on and a light indicator allowing the user to see when the laser is working. The Laser IR illuminator has a fully adjustable IR beam adjustment from 0.1 to 5 degrees which means the beam can be narrowed for long distances or widened as a flood light for shooting purposes. Windage and elevation can also be adjusted to perfectly center the beam in your night vision devices. Each illuminator comes with a belt pouch and a beam adjustment tool.
